30.12.07 - Under 15's challenge Johnstown Managers

Johnstown managers (The Legends) were comprehensive 3-2 winners over Johnstown Under 15's. A big crowd gathered for the game. The Legends started brightly and took the lead through marksman Adam Davies who slid the ball home. Slowly the U 15's crept back into the game with Sam Roberts and Billy Zwarbrick making their presence felt, but it was Nathan Coloccio who was the hero with a run and shot that found the corner of the goal.

Johnstown YFC

The Legends were glad of the half time break and introduced Eddie Roberts who brought increased energy to the team. After some good goal keeping from Mark 'Southall' Evans the under 15's took the lead through Daniel Richards finishing neatly, but straight from the kick off a Graham Davies chip to Richie 'Berbatov' Daniels made the game safe with a superb finish.??

Both sides had changes to win the game but a Eddie Roberts burst from midfield and shot was saved and the ball bounced to that man Adam Davies again to win the game.

Match report from Richard Daniels.

Local Councilor adds support to the club.

Johnstown YFC

Councilor David Bithell said that the club was going from strength to strength and the recent funding will enable the club to obtain coaching qualifications and hopefully maintain a constant flow of new young stars as well as delivering curriculum key stage 1 and 2 to local schools. He added that the real success story was the volunteer coaches who give up there time week in and week and special praise should go to them for their commitment and dedication on where they are today.
The club has ambitions for the future and I am sure that given this commitment we will see Johnstown continuing to rise up the leagues and reach their goal of a higher league status.
