League Code of Conduct
Each club or team is responsible for the conduct of its club officers and committee members whether they are officially in charge of a team or not on any particular day, i.e. a committee member attending a game is deemed to be in a management position and therefore subject to referee control in accordance with the law s of the game. The names of all committee members must be available at every game together with the players' registration forms.
Each club or team is responsible for the conduct of its players' relatives and must control all such relatives accordingly, i.e. if a relative is causing any kind of disruption or hassle on the touch line the club will be responsible for controlling that behaviour - if necessary by attempting to remove the offender from the vicinity of the field of play. If this is not done, the club or team will be subject to disciplinary action. Each club or team is responsible for the behaviour of its players, officials, committee members, spectators, relatives, before during and after the game.
Officials, committee members, spectators and relatives are not permitted to shout at players other than encouragement and praise. No intimidating remarks are to be made whatsoever. All officials, committee members, spectators and relatives must stand back from the playing area at least 2 yards/metres.
Referees are not responsible for controlling spectators except as provided in the laws of the game.
Referees should escort players from the field of play and should not leave the venue until the match report form has been signed by him when his responsibility ends, any incidents must be reported by the referee to N.E.W.F.A. and the league in writing and must include the name/s and number/s of any player/s or official/s or spectator/s who are involved.
Any breach of this code will result in disciplinary action being taken against the club concerned. this action may include:
Imposition of a fine.
Withdraw club / team fixtures.
Ordering of games to be played away from home with all costs of such games being at their own expense.
Instruct club to exclude player(s), officers, committee members, parents or spectators from all club activities.
Failing to take appropriate action will result in further disciplinary charges.
Expulsion of the club or team from the league.
Any combination of the above.
The officers (i.e. chairman, secretary and treasurer) of each club is to sign a copy of this code of conduct together with the team managers and all club committee members. Clubs will not be permitted to play any fixtures until the signed copy has been received by the leagues general administrator.
